Creative Arts are a powerful tool in supporting children’s mental wellbeing.

Each of the workshop sessions will explore a range of important topics through the creative arts providing an opportunity to communicate thoughts and feelings that are often difficult to put into words.

The creative arts can help make sense of problems and challenges and help to understand yourself better. They are also extremely fun!

Each wellbeing workshop session will take place in a safe, fun, and non-judgmental space providing an opportunity to connect with others who may have similar feelings.

‘Let it go’

Each session will begin with movement to music. This may take the form of drumming, instruments or dance. A fun and short activity aimed at releasing any restrictions that may be felt at that moment.

‘Rest & Relax’

This part of the session, aims to take your child to a calm, quiet and relaxed state. They will explore a range of breathing exercises and different creative visualizations.

Creative Visualization is a specific way of using your imagination and aimed at generating a visual mental imagery in a positive way. They can become an invaluable and indispensable tool to help overcome challenges or meet their challenges.

‘Marvellous Me’

Each week, we will explore a different subject area such as emotions, anxiety, self-esteem, confidence and transition. This part of the workshop aims to explore the children’s awareness and response to the particular topic area.

‘Tool kit Time’

The final part of the session is when your child will be involved in practical activities lined to the topic area that they can add to their ‘Wellbeing Toolkit’. They will explore different media each week such as painting, drawing, collage, clay, puppets and music.

Your child will bring home their Toolkit at the end of the final workshop session.

Children feel supported and better equipped to deal with challenging situations.

They are able to problem solve effectively and independently.
